Harmony Update: Week 04 Progress Report

By Chelsea Woo

Introduction

As we wrap up another work week at Harmony, our teams have pushed the boundaries of development and design, making significant strides towards refining our caregiving platform. Here’s a deep dive into the remarkable efforts of our Full Stack Developers and D3 Design teams.

Full Stack Web Development Team Flourishes:

Max made a lot of progress with the Event Calendar, finalizing the schema and embarking on a new page that promises to enhance user interaction. Angus has taken charge of our backend’s robustness completing the Journal ERD which he passed to Annabelle, and integrating advanced authentication functionalities using TypeScript. Annabelle has diligently put together the forms for our journal features, ensuring both functionality and elegance.

Vitor tackled a significant challenge by devising a custom API wrapper, streamlining our data processes to avoid the complexities of the Lang graph. Meanwhile, Emmy is laying down the foundational blocks of our team database, with an ERD already in place and more features coming soon!

D3 Design Team

The D3 Design team has been equally busy, hitting several key milestones:

  • Visual Identity: The Logo and Planner Page are now fully designed in Figma, reflecting Harmony’s core values in every detail
  • Prototype Progress: Our Lo-Fi Wireframes are nearing completion, with 70-80% of the design ready and user testing soon to follow.
  • Promotion with Purpose: Exploring innovative promotional strategies, we’re looking to capture the essence of Harmony through camcorder in Reels format.
  • Value Proposition: We’ve finalized key value screenshots that promise to showcase Harmony’s unique offerings to our future users.

The Road Ahead

Looking forward, the journey continues with enthusiasm and purpose:

For the Designers: We’re on our way to finalizing wireframes and accompanying style guide, ensuring every design element resonates with our brand. Upcoming user testing will provide invaluable insights, helping us tweak and enhance user experience. Our promotional efforts will also escalate, with a focus on creating engaging, camcorder-style content.

For the Developers: With the design blueprints in hand, our developers are ready to bring the UI to like, translating detailed prototypes into functional user interfaces. the backend will see further enhancements to support the sophisticated features we’re eager to introduce.

In Conclusion

Every week brings us closer to realizing our visions for Harmony—a platform designed with care, for care. Our teams are dedicated to creating a seamless and engaging experience for our users, ensuring that every feature we introduce makes caregiving a little easier and inspire in the world of digital health solutions.
