Introduction
As we hit another milestone, our team gathered this week to review our recent progress and brainstorm next steps. This session was particularly productive as we mapped out accomplishments, discussed challenges, and topped it off with a well deserved Korean BBQ dinner to celebrate our achievements and strengthen our team bond!
Full Stack Web Dev Team Updates
This week, our development team focused on a few crucial features to push Harmony forward:
- AI Functionality: We’re making progress in getting our AI to read and create journal entries and calendar events. Integrating the voice feature for added accessibility is also underway.
- Calendar UI: Enhancements to the calendar UI have begun to ensure it aligns seamlessly with our designs and provides a cohesive user experience.
- Team Creation: The team creation functionality is now complete! This new feature simplifies onboarding, making collaboration more accessible and intuitive.
Design (D3) Team Updates
Our design team has been busy refining the user experience and enhancing visual appeal:
- High-Fidelity Design: The high-fidelity designs were polished to improve clarity and ensure alignment with Harmony's goals.
- User Flows & Micro-Interactions: Smoother user flows and micro-actions like popups and snack bars have been added to make the interface more engaging and interactive.
Future Goals
As we look ahead, our team is excited to tackle new goals and potential enhancements:
- Dark Mode Variant: To offer more flexibility and accessibility, we’ll develop a dark mode option.
- Text AI Features: By next week, we aim to have Harmony AI generate journal entries and calendar events, enhancing engagement and usability.
- Journal Entry Structure: We’re exploring ways to restructure journal entries to simplify locating recent entries, improving usability as our database grows.
Celebrating Progress: Team Get-Together for Korean BBQ
After an intense first half to developing Harmony, we took some time to celebrate with a KBBQ dinner! It was a fantastic chance to relax, reflect, and enjoy each other’s company. This gathering reminded us of the importance of teamwork and staying motivated as we head into our final stretch.
