Week 9 — Print, Prep, and Presentation Mode

Introduction

This week felt like a whirlwind of creativity, collaboration, and final touches as our team worked hard to bring Harmony closer to the finish line! From refining the smallest details to getting our presentation materials ready, Week 9 was all about making sure every piece of the puzzle fit perfectly. Here’s what we’ve been up to!

Dev Updates: Refining Harmony

The dev team has been busy polishing features and prepping for our showcase:

• AI updates: They tackled improvements and bug fixes to make Harmony smarter and smoother to use.
• Landing Page: First impressions matter, and our landing page is shaping up to show Harmony’s mission of care and support beautifully.
• Presentation Prep: Assisted in creating our script for the demo ensuring they were bringing Harmony to life!

Creative Vibes: Designing the Experience

On the creative side, it was all about making Harmony shine:

• Print Materials: We finalized stickers, brochures, business cards, and even PVC cards for the showcase. It’s so exciting to see our ideas in print!
• Ad Campaign: We filmed and edited a campaign that really captures what Harmony is all about. Dialling in on an emotional angle.
• Showcase Prep: Because what’s a showcase without snacks? We made sure everything is ready to make the even feel just as welcoming as Harmony itself!

Team Moments: Late Nights at BCIT

Prep Night at the downtown campus was definitely one for the books. The room was basically a sauna—no AC and way too many people crammed in. We kept opening the door to let air out, only to have to close it again because the lock wouldn’t stop beeping! It was a chaotic mix of hot air, laughs and solid teamwork, but somehow we pulled it together and made sure every detail was perfect. Classic late-night grind vibes!

BCIT Distinguished Awards Night

This past week included a special highlight: attending the BCIT Distinguished Awards event with Henry. It was an incredible opportunity to network, make connections, and represent our program in the best light possible. Between inviting people to our showcase, showing off Harmony, and enjoying a steak dinner, the night was a mix of business and celebration. It was a great reminder of the impact our work can have and how far we’ve come!

Looking Ahead!

As we head into Week 10, it’s all about tying everything together. From final tweaks to user feedback, we’re focused on making Harmony the best it can be before the big showcase this Friday!

Final Thoughts

Seeing Harmony come to life, from our first brainstorming sessions in the summer, to holding the finished materials in hand, has been such a rewarding experience. This project has challenged and inspired us in so many ways, and we can’t wait to share it with everyone.
